It’s Tough Being A Pikachu Dancer. Wait. A WHAT?

Let’s start with the basics: Pikachu is a character in the Pokemon series. As the series is popular (not to us, but that’s a post for another day,) the character is popular. In fact, the character is so popular that there dance teams that appear at events such as the grand opening of a mall called “Triple Street” in Songdo, Korea.

Frankly, we aren’t sure that “Pikachu dancer” would impress us on a resume, but that might be a cultural difference. What would impress is even less is being a Pikachu dancer whose costume fails and then gets….

Well, you have to see it for yourself.

The fun starts about the 1:00 mark.

Never fear, the plucky dancer returns only to….

You’ll have to watch that for yourself as well at around the 4:30 mark.

Oh the humanity.

Here’s a condensed version from a different angle:

Perhaps it is us, but we find something incongruous about a bunch of people with hi-tech cameras watching and filming as a memory a bunch or people bouncing in a yellow costume with limited motion.

We live in a world with great oddities.
