President Biden Fires Lee Greenwood? What The Heck?

Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” is an iconic that is unabashedly patriotic and pro-USA.

What we did not know was that Greenwood is (well, was) a member of the National Council on the Arts.

Established by Congress in 1965, the National Endowment for the Arts is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations, and develop their creative capacities. Through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector, the Arts Endowment supports arts learning, affirms and celebrates America’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, and extends its work to promote equal access to the arts in every community across America.

Greenwood was appointed to the NEA by President George W. Bush (43) for a six year term on the NEA. President Obama reappointed Greenwood. President Donald Trump reappointed him as well.

Now, in what is a simply stunning action, President Joe Biden has fired Greenwood.

LEE GREENWOOD: You know, it’s a six-year appointment and I was appointed by George W. Bush 43. So I served under his term. Also, President Obama’s term. Of course, President Trump’s term. And then as you know he used my song “God Bless the USA,” which is unilateral for me. It’s meant for all people, not just for a particular political party.

So hearing now under the Biden administration and he’s cleaned house and finally he’sfired a patriot. I was quite shocked to tell you the truth. I didn’t get a phone call or letter. It was just an email.

Boy, that’s classy. The Biden administration can’t even take a few moments to call Greenwood for all those years?

Lee Greenwood, US soldiers release new version of ‘God Bless the USA’

[Fox and Friends] Co-host Ainsley Earhardt noted that during his campaign and after he was elected, President Joe Biden said he wanted to “unite the country,” adding that Greenwood’s song “united us during” the Sept. 1, 2001, terrorist attacks and has ever since.”

“I would like to think that it is,” the award-winning country artist responded. “I have to tell you in all of our shows, I don’t care where they are, we always honor our veterans. And I want to particularly point out that fact.”

Greenwood announced that he had been fired while promoting a concert for, who else? Veterans.

He went on to say that he has a show coming up Oct. 12 in Huntsville, Ala. and that he has “set aside a block of tickets” for veterans and “caregivers” to attend, which he says he does at most events.

“This is very special. It’s a television production,” he said. “It’s gonna be star-studded with 40 different” performers, he added, noting that people can “adopt a vet” at his website ahead of the show,

What’s next? Is Biden going to forbid the “Lt. Dan Band” from performing on military bases and on Federal property?

This move is beyond petty by Biden and his administration.

Biden’s approval numbers are now below those of Trump, and that is with the fact that Trump was accused of everything by the media and Biden is lives under the shade of that same media.

This is the type of thing that brings into focus that there are people in leadership positions who are not interested in bringing a country together. They thrive on and want to have the division continue. We see that division everywhere and if it wasn’t clear before, we now see it in Biden.

Apparently in the Biden administration, being a patriot and bringing people together under a song needs to be punished.
