Teacher Loses Mind. And A Push.

Nicole Griggs is a math teacher at Steinert High School in Hamilton, New Jersey.

While out walking her dog, Griggs came upon some kids playing football the lot of a school that is not being used anymore.

Things did not go well when Griggs told the kids to stop.

At first, Griggs, who appears to be wearing a gray sweatshirt and walking her dog, seems to be looking out for the teens by telling them the parks are closed because of the virus outbreak.

She asks them if they need her to scream the warning “loud enough so you can hear me over your music. Parks closed. You will get arrested if the cops come.”

She soon melts down when one of the teens asks, “Wait, can we go over there?”

The teacher goes so far as to tell the teens she doesn’t care if they put her on blast online.

“Parks closed. The whole area,” Griggs says. “Get it through your thick head. You are the reason we are in this situation. You are the problem, not the solution. Go ahead keep recording. Who are you going to show it to? Post me on social media. You’re the idiot doing the wrong thing. I’m just trying to save your ass and save your life. But die, OK. I hope both of you get the coronavirus. I hope you both die a long, painful death.

Obviously Griggs lost her mind during the exchange.

It’s almost as if she is throwing mud against the wall to see what will stick.

Kids playing football in a field are the reason for COVID-19? Or even the regulations dealing with COVID-19? Those kids caused all the trouble?

The kids are the problem in the spread of the virus? What is she basing that upon? How does she know if any of the kids or their families have the virus, or have had the virus?

We really like the zero to 1000 mph ramp-up from Griggs who says she is just trying to save the kids lives and then hoping that they die. And to die a “long, painful death” to boot.

We all get the idea that people are tired and cranky, but to wish death upon anyone is wrong on so many levels.

The interesting thing will be what the school and school district does with Griggs. Will she be held accountable for her actions outside of school?

Contrast Griggs’ rant with the actions of a park ranger calmly explaining social distancing to a group of people who were hanging out at Lake Austin in Austin, Texas.

Brandon James Hicks mugshot.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A park ranger who was trying to disperse a crowd on a sunny Thursday at Lake Austin says he was pushed into the water. Police say a 25-year-old has been arrested in the case.

A video shared on social media appears to shows the ranger speaking to the crowd and asking them to keep six feet of distance between them to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. The video then shows a man run up and push him, sending both men into the water. The suspect then climbs out of the lake and runs off.

That matches a description of the incident described in an arrest affidavit for Brandon James Hicks, who faces a charge of attempted assault on a public servant.

According to the arrested affidavit, police responded to the call around 4:54 p.m.

Thursday and were sent to Commons Ford Park. The ranger reported he had been trying to disperse a crowd of people who were unlawfully smoking and drinking in the park, police say.

For those who are wondering, “attempted assault on a public servant” in Texas is a 3rd degree felony which is punishable by up to years in jail and up to a $10,000 fine.

We have no idea what caused Griggs to yell at kids and wish “long painful deaths” upon them. We have no idea what would cause Hicks to push into the water a park ranger who was polite and cordial.

We can only assume that the “idiot”gene runs deep within them both.
