Loudoun County VA Teacher Resigns.

Loudoun County Public School System is the third largest in the State of Virginia with over 80,000 students.

As of Wednesday night, the County is down one teacher.

Laura Morris had been an elementary school teacher in the district for 5 years and according to her, a teacher for ten.

At a meeting were topic of discussion were to include transgender policies, mask policies and Critical Race Theory in the school system. (We keep hearing people saying that CRT is not being taught in elementary and secondary schools. They are not paying attention as it clearly is.)

Large crowds were gathered outside of the meeting (which was later suspended because of the number of public comments) but it was Morris’ comments and resignation that has caught the eye of the nation.

Morris alleges that in one “equity training session,” the person conducting the training told the group “that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and ‘this has to change.’”

How a person giving a training session can break the law by attacking people on the basis of religion, race, and gender still has a job is beyond us.

Morris also alleges that she received an email from the School Superintendent that she could not disagree with the policies being implemented and could not speak out about them even in her own personal life. Apparently that clown of an “educator” has never heard of the First Amendment. To bolster his attack on the rights of people, the District actually created a form for teachers to fill out when another teacher was critical of the policies. There have been countries and governments that have had secret police to report on people for dissenting with the government. In Loudoun County, they are doing it right out in the open.

No dissent from the very people who will be expected to implement these policies. No discussion at all. The employees will obey their so called “masters” even in their private lives.

In closing, Morris said:

“Clearly, you’ve made your point. You no longer value me or many other teachers you’ve employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you.”

“School board, I quit,” she said. Choking up, she added: “I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children.”

Morris is well spoken, intelligent, thoughtful and cares about education and her students. All of the things that you want from teachers and yet Loudoun County drove her out of job.

She’ll probably go to a private school, make more money, be supported by the administration and valued by parents and students.

While some of her students and their parents may follow her, the problem is the kid and parents that are left behind in racist, prejudiced and bigoted Loudoun County Schools.

Those are the kids that people need to be concerned with.

And make no mistake, the “educators” on the School Board and the Administration are no different than those in many local school districts, including Brevard County.

It is time for the madness to end.
